Dr. LM Hanna School is excited to offer an evening of information and resource to the parents, guardians and caregivers of our incredible students on Thursday, October 19th at 6:30 p.m.
There is tremendous choice in this year's sessions and you choose the presentations that interest you! You may choose to participate in the extensive "Worry Wise" presentation which offers insights into our children's worries between school and home.
Or, you can choose to visit the Learning Commons to gain access and ask questions about Parent Portal, Mathletics or School Cash Online.
We are also offering smaller sessions which you can pick and choose your interest. You can choose to participate in the less time extensive sessions on Growth Mindset, What's in a Grade? or Will My Child Be Ready for High School?
The SYMPOSIUM is entirely FREE and PRE-REGISTRATION is not required. Desserts and refreshments will be available.

To be certain, the worry of a child becomes the worry of a parent. This extensive presentation will offer insights into our children’s worries between home and school; and suggestions to help with this worry.

Whether it be emotionally, academically and socially, we often ask if our children will be ready for high school. This question is most often asked when our children hit the senior grades of elementary school. What makes our children ready for high school? Is it good grades? Is it friendships? Bring your questions and thoughts to this discussion.

The big question is... What is a grade and what does it mean? In this session, we will be discussing assessment and grading. Specifically, how it has changed over the years, what you should be looking for, and how to interpret the new reporting system for grades 4-8.
7:00 p.m. Growth Mindset 30 MIN Presentation by Mr. Urban
We all want our children to be successful in school, sports, and extracurricular activities. Research shows that success is often dependent on mindset. Hard work, perseverance, and effort are all hallmarks of a growth mindset and are true indicators of success. Join us for this informative discussion on instilling a Growth Mindset for children at all grade levels.
