Get ready for Dr LM Hanna's Winter Reading Challenge! Classrooms will track how many books they have read for the month. The three classrooms with the most books read at the end of the month will EACH get to pick 22 new books for our school library. These new books will be gifted through the Indigo Adopt a School Program.
The January schedule has been released! Those students who are participating in Battle of the Books, we will meet for our final two 'battles' on January 15th, and January 22nd during the noon hour. Following our January 22nd battle, the teams that have been selected to represent Dr. Hanna for our inter-school battles will be announced!
Regina Public School and Dr. LM Hanna will begin to use consistent symbols across all grades in students' Progress Reports in 2017-2018. Progress Reports focus on a student's achievement in relation to provincial outcomes and the new descriptors are a division-wide guide to be used as a framework to assess and evaluate student achievement.
This year, we are doing a family friendly winter celebration at our school. This will take the place of our formal concert held at Thom Collegiate in previous years. Our classrooms will host a variety of activities that families can visit and take part in together. All grades are involved! There will also be hot chocolate and cookies!
