Orange Shirt Day

On Friday, September 29th, students and staff will participate in "Orange Shirt Day" at Dr. Hanna School.

Orange Shirt Day takes place across the country where people from all walks of life wear orange shirts to remember the experiences of former students of Indian Residential Schools.  The purpose is commit to ongoing reconciliation. 

School Photo Day

Lifetouch will be taking school pictures on Tuesday, October 12th and Wednesday, October 13th.  This will involve individual portraits as well as a class group photo.  More information will be sent home at a later date.  The schedule for photo day is as follows:

Battle of the Books

Dr. LM Hanna students in Grades 4-8 have a tremendous opportunity to join the Battle of the Books.  Each team commits to reading 10 books that have been pre-selected, and will use the information from the books to "battle" with other teams.  The ultimate is to "battle" with students from several other schools.
